A note from Eyal
As a kid, I was drawn to one picture: standing on a stage with an electric guitar, playing for a crowd, with every eye in the room on you. Something about it always pulled me in.
But the first day I held a guitar, I realized there was something much deeper here. I had found a door to a whole world: not just playing, but music itself, and later songwriting, composing, recording and producing.
From there it just kept going. I played for hours every day, wrote songs, played in bands, recorded, tried new things, and loved every part of making something that wasn’t there a moment before. The guitar became much more than an instrument. It was my way in, and everything else developed from there.
I wrote these books because I’ve always felt that too many guitarists, and too many musicians in general, give up on music too early. So often the way in goes through a wall of theory, rules and exercises, and it starts to feel like a math class long before you get to the thing that made you want to play.
I believe there’s another way. You can learn properly, understand theory, build real technique and move forward step by step, and still enjoy every minute of the playing itself. What matters most, to me, is that you never lose your passion for music along the way.
One of the most powerful ways to keep it is to play with a band and feel part of real music from the very first steps. Not just practicing alone, but hearing how what you’ve learned locks in with the drums, the bass, the other instruments and a whole song. When I was young, that is what made all the difference.
That’s exactly what I wanted to create in these books: a clear path to learn and grow that keeps the fun, the creativity, and the reason we picked up the guitar in the first place.
The club is where I keep that going: new band tracks to play over, practice ideas, and news when the next book is ready. I’d be glad to have you with us.
